Mount Daguniang (also called Large Peak by local people) is located in the Mt. Siguniang scenic area in Xiaojin County, Sichuan Province.
It is a sister mount of Mt. Siguniang - renowned as the queen among the Shu mountains, with an altitude of 5,355m. The areas below 4,000m are mostly distributed with alpine meadows, with shrub forests and flowers seen everywhere in low-lying regions. Basin-sized wild mushrooms are rare and savory things in the mountains. While the areas above 4,000m are barren landscapes randomly distributed with hard stones. The mountain top is covered with a thin layer of snow in summer, while the snow might accumulate to a depth around knees in the snowy weather from October to next April, when the scenery is more magnificent, and climbing is more difficult. Standing at the mountain top, Mt. Siguniang is right in front of you. With good luck, you might enjoy the view of snowy mountains and sea of clouds at the same time.
