       There are more than 100 natural ice walls hanging on both sides of Shuangqiao Valley in winter in Mount Siguniang Scenic Area. It is the only place in China where the ice walls are concentrated, with different climbing difficulties and convenient transportation. Every winter, it attracts many domestic and foreign ice climbers to come for learning, training and experience. As a result, "Mount Siguniang International Ice Climbing Festival" came into being. As one of the theme activities sponsored by the Tourism Administration of Mount Siguniang since 2010, this activity is held on New Year's Day every year, including ice climbing competition, free climbing experience, public training of ice climbing skills, directional running and other activities. Mount Siguniang International Ice Climbing Festival is a strongly participatory and experiential event, and the Tourism Administration of Mount Siguniang capitalizes on abundant ice wall resources and endeavors to provide an experience, learning and communication platform for the people who love life, nature, ice and snow all over the world, making the ice climbers from all over the world bask in the sunshine, embrace nature, enjoy life on the glittering ice walls.
